Carpooling: Save the Environment and Gas Money
June 13, 2008 – 9:26 pmPaul lives in Wichita, Kansas, where he’s an aerospace engineer. Somewhere in the eight or so years since he moved there, he decided that it has “the ambiance and excitement of a gravel parking lot.” So to relieve the boredom, he took up video making. Oh, and also aerobatic flying and salsa dancing. But sticking with the videos: here’s one, found by Genevieve Sponsler. In it he and his shy sidekick Sid will convince you that carpooling is not only good for the environment and your wallet, but also fun. In Wichita, anyway.
Entertaining, right? And good campaign themes. But to be honest the real reason to post it was to be able to link to another of Paul’s videos: An Engineer’s Guide to Cats. Not even remotely relevant to the election. But what a great find (also thanks to Genevieve Sponsler — when we take a YouTube coffee break here at PRX, we do it right).
