On the GOP’s Use of Fear

Last Friday at a rally near Minnesota, John McCain reversed course somewhat on linking Obama to terrorists. McCain told a supporter that Obama is a “decent person” he shouldn’t be “scared” of. In response, the audience booed McCain.

Reigned-in engineer PoliticalOverload — another ballotvoxregular — takes on the GOP’s use of fear as a political tactic. He gives McCain kudos for his defense of Obama because he feels it goes against standard GOP operating procedure (including the McCain/Palin campaign’s recent scaremongering). (Thanks, Sarolta Cump.)

We featured PoliticalOverload previously on the proposed gas-tax holiday and on global warming.
