DSquid1901, or Bryan Boyce, is a San Francisco film and video artist. (Featured before here.) He has a talent for satire. In this citizen ad, he takes on McCain's "maverick" brand and ties it mischievously to "spreading the wealth." (Thanks, Sarolta Cump.)
Great soundtrack.

Tina Fey isn't the only Palin wannabe. Just check YouTube and you might find Lisa Nova. Or maybe Marni. Here Marni satirizes Palin's debate prep by suggesting that, among other things, she took pointers from Cheney's 2004 performance. (Thanks, Sue Salinger.)
Do you think there was bubble wrap under that voodoo ...

Tony Buser, born and living in Reading, Pennsylvania, blogs about webby, techy things. He made a mashup satirizing the bizarre "McCain wins debate!" ad that appeared before the debate even happened. Tony slips that ad onto the front page of the Chicago Daily Tribune held by Harry Truman -- which ...

Sarolta Cump found this rather clever Britney Spears parody. It pokes fun at McCain's "flip-flop" on mudslinging -- and lampoons the celebrity and McBush themes that have characterized the negative campaigning from both sides. Bay-Area video artist Bryan Boyce, aka DSquid1901, put it together. He likes satirizing US culture ...

This is amusing and at least partly true. Jennifer Killpack-Knutsen, who's from Salt Lake City and likes green living, makes the case that elections are like dating (thanks, Ann Raber):
Most people see only what they want to see in the candidate or potential partner. Well, they might ...

James Pence of Glendale, Kentucky, doesn't mince words. He explains here, in a calmly biting commentary on the Bush administration's handling of the economy, healthcare, civil liberties, and other issues central to the election, how he -- if he were a terrorist -- would undermine America:
That rocking chair somehow takes ...

Here, again, is satirist Paul from the DC area. He works in business and finance and considers himself a blessed man. In this video he explains -- keeping a poker face -- that we don't want to make the same mistake with Iran that Nixon made with China; we don't ...

It is frequently remarked that politics makes strange bedfellows. Well, last week New Yorker editor David Remnick and Ron Paul Twin Rebekah, two media figures who would be hard pressed to have less in common, found themselves in similar positions. Both Remnick and Rebekah were ...

This week's New Yorker cover shows Barack Obama dressed as a Muslim, Michelle outfitted as a Black Panther/terrorist, a flag burning in the fireplace, and Osama bin Laden in a gilt frame on the wall. It is, of course satire. Or it's supposed to be. It seems to be confusing ...

Paul is a Christian from the DC area. He was born in small-town China and emigrated after Tiananmen. Somewhere along the way he became a master of satire. Here he poses as a "traditionalist" to explain what distinguishes him from progressives. (Hat tip to Sarolta Cump.)
He didn't break character ...
